There are two ways to hold on — to things, people, life…
We can grasp tightly, with fear that we will lose it and it will be gone forever. Or we can hold our “possessions” with opened hands, palms up, and while it’s there, we can feel grateful and privileged to have it—to experience it fully, deeply, joyfully. Our hands are relaxed and we can experience freedom. (I read this somewhere and do not remember the source.)
I’ve learned some important lessons about letting go, especially as my father was dying.
I invite you to visit CWLauro.com to see a related and very profound quote about letting go from Sogyal Rinpoche. It touched me deeply.
Thank you for joining me this week. Enjoy your moments!
Blessings, Love and Light,
