Weekly BLOG: Count Our Blessings

Pink Rainbow

Pink Rainbow

Having been in extreme physical pain for almost an entire month, I am reminded to count my blessings –not only for feeling better, but also for everything — the colors of the sky, pink rainbows, white clouds overhead, green grass and it’s fresh smell, fragrant blooming flowers, birds singing, smiling faces, enjoying the aroma and taste of delicious food, even simply being able to walk without pain is something I no longer take for granted.

When my mother offered to buy me a copy of a book she enjoys reading, Jesus Calling, I said, “Mom, I don’t have time to read that.”  Well I now have my own leather-bound copy that I read every day. Being ill for so many weeks allowed me the time to read what nourishes my soul, and for that I’m grateful.

Illness can force us to slow down, and I believe this was the case for me. I had forgotten, or just neglected, to take enough time out for myself for some very important things – to nourish not only my spirit, but also my body and mind. This is about gaining The Inside Advantage.

Feeling better every day, in every way…hopefully soon I will wake up pain-free. I need to remember this saying which is worth repeating:  “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to end, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.”

I’m not dancing yet, but I am smiling! And I thank God!

Thank you for joining me on this spiritual journey. See you next time…

Blessings, Love & Light,

Touch a Heart with TIA
